Which scanners work with ScanDeck?
Any scanner your Mac already knows about — ScanDeck talks to your scanner directly through macOS, so there are no drivers to install. That includes USB scanners and network scanners over Wi‑Fi, with automatic document feeder support.
Where are my documents stored?
In ordinary folders on your Mac, right where you put them. Nothing gets imported into a hidden library, and your documents never leave your Mac — there's no cloud account and no subscription.
Can ScanDeck open my old PaperPort files?
Yes. ScanDeck reads legacy PaperPort (.max) files and converts them to standard PDFs with one click, so your old scans aren't locked away in a format nothing else can open.
Can I edit PDFs in ScanDeck?
Open any PDF in the built‑in viewer to highlight, annotate, and mark up. You can reorder, rotate, or delete pages, combine documents by dropping one onto another, and make scanned pages searchable with built‑in text recognition.
